HR Specialist

About Naïf
When Jochem and Sjoerd both became dads for the first time in 2013, they realized that baby care products were full of harmful ingredients. Driven to make a change, Naïf was born.
Our mission is to change the world of personal care, and to protect and care for the environment that our children (and their children) will live in at all costs. So we choose to make personal care products that are mild for sensitive skin and less harmful for our planet. We were the first brand to introduce plastic-free wet wipes in the Netherlands, and we actively campaign against the use of microplastics in personal care products. We have everything you need for your kids, from diaper cream to plastic-free wipes, shampoo and even sunscreen. Want to join us? Read on!
Your role
At Naïf, we believe our people are our most important ingredient. We are built on a philosophy of putting people first. Not just as a slogan, but as our daily practice. In the role of HR Specialist you'll be the trusted advisor for a diverse group of colleagues (30 people), working closely with Gijs - our CEO. We are looking for someone who:
Finds genuine joy in helping others succeed.
Can easily switch between operational tasks and strategic thinking.
Is the reliable, approachable face of HR, building trust and fostering a positive environment.
Sees HR not just as a function, but as a base for a great workplace culture where people love to work.
This is what you will be doing:
Employee experience: From a warm welcome to a grateful farewell (on- and offboarding), you'll manage the entire employee lifecycle. You'll be the first point of contact, making every HR interaction seamless and supportive.
Attract the best talent: Own the whole recruitment process from setting the profile, to finding and hiring new talent.
Be the heart of our culture: Act as the go-to person for all employee questions. You are the trusted advisor for our entire team.
Growth & development: Coordinating and planning our training programs, helping our teams build new skills.
Operations: You’ll manage the Dutch & German payroll and guide employees and managers through absence management with care and precision.
Working efficient: As the 'Product Owner' for our HR system (NMBRS, Homerun, Leapsome), you'll do more than just manage data. You'll actively drive improvements and empower all colleagues to use these tools effectively.
Future-proof: You will develop, implement, and refine our HR policies, handbook, and processes. You see a gap or new opportunity? You'll have the freedom to fill it.
-
Grow into strategy: This is where your "eager to learn" spirit shines. You'll have the chance to research and launch new initiatives in performance management, employee engagement, compensation, and learning & development.
This is you..
You have 3-5 years of hands-on HR experience and are confident handling the core functions (recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, basic employee relations).
You understand that handling sensitive data is a sacred trust.
A natural talent for organizing and a keen eye for detail. You're the person who catches everything.
Fantastic communication skills; you're clear, empathetic, and can connect with anyone.
You thrive on autonomy. You are organized, and can manage multiple priorities without someone looking over your shoulder.
A positive, fun, and enthusiastic spirit. You're eager to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Solid knowledge of Dutch labor law (German law is a plus!)
Fluency in both Dutch and English (verbal and written) is essential for our international team.
Available for min 4 days per week, as much as possible from our office in The Hague.
Working at Naïf
